Again it is with us in after midnight and thank God the Internet is readily available here as clean drinking water. But this is just one of the less strange curiosities, which frame the everyday life here.
For a start, so our first normal day in Kenya (in this case gone to bed, woke up here) today we are still on the site of the nest, where Susie is currently the Admistratorin has taken over the role of powerful and sometimes cut down on the cleaning needs. The NEST is when I got that far right, take a kind of orphanage for children whose parents for various reasons, just behind Sweden Curtain their meals, being with those curtains or Anno Sanela, yet Evabritt, other Ivar's friends are meant.
While Susie's brother Samuel, with the next 2.5 weeks I will be traveling together, still dreaming of warm Germany (there is currently very fresh and damp, rarely over 20 degrees), I trotted off to a brisk breakfast Volunteers with the everyday house schonmal Morning Devotion and experienced as it were, with a normal day with staff and kids. (As pious as the image of the kids are watching, however, rare.) I unaudited estimate the NEST about 40 children live between 2 and about 9 years living here together, to go to school or rumdallen just play, to make nonsense and look forward to visitors.
morning but the kids are outside the living room and game area, either in the Pre-School, a kindergarten with some kind of a unit or primary school, ie primary school in good hands.
am I just run there with the kids of middle age and have at least the beginning of children's everyday life witnessed.
But has unfortunately not been enough.
For about half an hour way back we split up into a taxi, the last kilometer was whether the Holperstraße only Gekrache and squealing and I could have bet that it would run smoother on the field.
For tomorrow, the program is still undetermined. The weather is pretty lousy for African conditions, so we are not sure if we make the planned day trip to a nearby National Park. To experience it is finally in front of the house enough. On Friday we move but in any case, the train from Nairobi to Mombasa on the coast
, one or two days later then south to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. From there, possibly to Zanzibar and Bagamoyo, but then west on the Tanzanian side towards Moshi and from there on my own former internship Leguruki / / Kingori back to Arusha to Nairobi. At least that is the plan. But one should not forget we are in Africa. Can also get all somehow different. Or maybe not: o) So far so good. All the best for today again from Limuru. Mungu akubarikiwe!
